Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment, supporting chefs and restaurant staff to deliver excellent service. The ideal candidate will be reliable, hardworking, and eager to learn about food preparation and hospitality operations. Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary setting is advantageous but not mandatory. . Duties
- Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to ensure cleanliness standards are met
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision
- Supporting kitchen staff with organisation and stock replenishment
- Maintaining cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas throughout the shift
- Assisting in the disposal of waste and recycling materials appropriately
- Ensuring all health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times
- Supporting the overall smooth operation of the kitchen during service periods
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary environment is desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of food preparation and cooking processes is a plus
- Familiarity with kitchen safety and hygiene standards preferred
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn new skills related to hospitality and culinary operations
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards work
