PART-TIME RETAIL ASSISTANT – EVENINGS & WEEKENDS
We are looking for a friendly, reliable and hardworking Part-Time Retail Assistant to join our team.
This is a permanent position, working approximately 15–20 hours per week. The successful applicant must be available to work evenings Monday–Friday, as well as daytime and evening shifts on Saturdays and Sundays.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in providing excellent customer service and is happy to get stuck in and help wherever needed.
YOUR ROLE
As a Retail Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Serving customers in a friendly, professional and helpful manner.
- Building positive relationships with regular customers and getting to know their needs.
- Operating the cash tills and handling cash accurately and responsibly.
- Receiving, checking and putting away deliveries.
- Replenishing stock and ensuring shelves and displays are well presented.
- Helping to maintain a clean, tidy and welcoming store.
- Ensuring products are available, well presented and maintained to a high standard.
- Promoting products, offers and services to customers where appropriate.
- Providing proactive customer service by smiling, greeting, acknowledging and assisting customers.
- Working effectively as part of a team and supporting colleagues when required.
- Prioritising tasks and working efficiently during busy periods.
- Following company procedures, particularly around cash handling, age-restricted sales and customer service.
- Carrying out other reasonable duties required to help the store operate successfully.

Previous retail experience is desirable but not essential – a positive attitude, strong work ethic and commitment to customer service are just as important.
HOURS & PAY
Job Type: Part-Time, Permanent
Hours: Approximately 15–20 hours per week
Availability: Monday–Friday evenings, Saturday and Sunday daytime/evening
Pay: National Minimum Wage applicable to your age. Exact rate of pay will be discussed at interview.
