Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment, supporting chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations. Duties
- Washing, cleaning, and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to uphold hygiene standards
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision
- Ensuring the cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment throughout the shift
- Organising storage areas for ingredients and supplies to maintain efficiency
- Supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods by providing timely assistance
- Disposing of waste responsibly and ensuring recycling procedures are followed
- Restocking supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Familiarity with food preparation, cooking, or hospitality environments is advantageous
- Experience working in a fast-paced setting demonstrates ability to manage workload efficiently
- Knowledge of hygiene standards within a commercial kitchen is beneficial but not mandatory
