Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Practitioner to join our new early childhood education team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting children's development and ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. This position offers an opportunity to utilise your management and leadership skills while working closely with children and their families. Applicants must be passionate about childcare, possess relevant nursery experience, and demonstrate excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote children's development across all areas of learning.
- Support children’s emotional well-being by providing caring and attentive supervision.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of daily routines and activities.
- Build strong relationships with children, parents, and carers through effective communication.
- Observe, assess, and record children's progress, providing feedback to parents during regular meetings.
- Lead small groups or individual sessions to support children’s specific needs or interests.
- Assist in the organisation of nursery events and activities that enhance children's social skills and confidence.
- Uphold policies related to safeguarding, behaviour management, and inclusion at all times.
Skills
- Proven management and leadership abilities within a childcare setting.
- Extensive experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood environment.
- Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and child development stages.
- Excellent communication skills in English, capable of liaising effectively with children, parents, and team members.
- Ability to organise activities efficiently whilst maintaining flexibility for children's individual needs.
- Driving competence is desirable for supporting nursery logistics or outings.
- Compassionate approach with a genuine passion for childcare and fostering positive learning experiences.
- Organised, proactive, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality care.
Pay: £26,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
