S&J Fisheries has been supplying quality fresh and frozen seafood since 1985. Due to continued growth and demand, we are looking to recruit an experienced Fish Filleter to join our existing skilled team.
This role is ideal for someone who can hit the ground running, work efficiently to a high standard, and take pride in producing quality products with excellent speed.
The Role
Duties will include:
- Filleting a variety of fish species to a high standard
- Scaling, trimming, portioning and preparing seafood products
- Maintaining good yields at a good speed
- Following food safety and hygiene procedures
- Keeping work areas clean and organised
- Supporting the wider production team as required
Working Pattern
- Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday (to begin)
- Approx. 9-hour shifts
- Day shift or night shift available
- Opportunity for additional hours and overtime during busy periods
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate will have:
- Proven experience in fish filleting and seafood preparation
- Strong knife skills and attention to detail
- Abiliy to work at a good pace with good quality
- Pride in their workmanship and product presentation
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- The ability to perform consistently in a fast-paced environment
