We are seeking an experienced Behaviour Therapist to join our specialist multidisciplinary team supporting adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism, complex communication needs, mental health needs, and behaviours of concern.
Working alongside experienced clinicians, Registered Managers, support teams and families, you will play a key role in reducing restrictive practices, improving quality of life, and helping individuals achieve meaningful outcomes.
About the Role
You will:
- Complete comprehensive behavioural assessments and functional behaviour assessments (FBAs).
- Develop, implement and review Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans.
- Provide behavioural interventions based on evidence-based practice.
- Analyse behavioural data and produce outcome reports.
- Deliver training, coaching and mentoring to support staff.
- Support multidisciplinary team meetings and care reviews.
- Promote proactive, least restrictive approaches to care.
- Work collaboratively with families, commissioners and external professionals.
- Contribute to service quality improvement and clinical governance.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Degree in Psychology, Behaviour Analysis or a related discipline.
- Experience supporting people with Learning Disabilities and Autism.
- Experience undertaking behavioural assessments and developing PBS plans.
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed and person-centred practice.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to coach and develop frontline care teams.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
- Experience with Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).
- Training in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), PBS, or equivalent behavioural interventions.
- Experience working within CQC-regulated services.
- Knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, safeguarding, and restrictive practice reduction.
