Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accountant to join our financial team. Duties
- Prepare, analyze, and maintain financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and reconciliation of supplier accounts.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms to record transactions and generate reports.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely completion of all tasks.
- Support financial management efforts by monitoring budgets, tracking expenses, and providing insights for cost control.
- Mentor junior team members by sharing best practices in accounting procedures and software utilization.
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline workflows and improve overall financial operations.
Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft or equivalent platforms.
- Strong understanding of financial services industry practices and regulations.
- Experience with financial accounting processes including ledger management, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Knowledge of accounts payable procedures and vendor management.
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to mentor colleagues and foster a collaborative team environment.
- Familiarity with financial management tools and systems used for budgeting and expense tracking.
