Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at a reputable nursing home. This role offers the opportunity to provide compassionate care and support to residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be organised, and have a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people's lives. A valid driving licence and experience in care environments are advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, mobility, and nutrition
- Support the implementation of individualised care plans tailored to each resident’s needs
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided using IT systems
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and team members to ensure high-quality care delivery
- Ensure the safety and comfort of residents at all times within the care home environment
- Support with home care tasks where required, including light housekeeping and medication reminders
- Adhere to health and safety protocols and infection control procedures diligently
Experience
- Previous experience working in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Good IT skills for maintaining records and updating care plans
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when necessary
- Driving experience with a valid licence is preferred for supporting residents outside the care home environment

Pay: £12.82-£13.82 per hour
