We are seeking energetic and dedicated Bricklayers & Hod Carriers to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be instrumental in building durable, high-quality structures by laying bricks, blocks, and stones with precision and care.
Bricklayers - £220.00pd
Hod Carriers £130-£160pd - depending on experience
Hours 7.30am - 4.30pm
Location: RH13 9BG

Duties
- Mix mortar and prepare bricks, blocks, or stones for laying according to project specifications
- Lay bricks or stones in a precise pattern to create walls, facades, or other structures
- Use hand tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels, and levels to ensure accuracy and quality
- Operate power tools including saws, drills, and grinders safely and effectively
- Assist with the setup of scaffolding and other site equipment to facilitate construction activities
- Carry materials such as bricks or mortar to designated areas using hods or wheelbarrows
- Support masonry work by mixing cement and preparing surfaces for construction tasks
- Collaborate with carpenters, roofers, welders, and other trades to ensure seamless project progress
Requirements
- Proven experience with bricklaying or masonry work preferred but not mandatory; training provided for eager learners
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in construction environments
- Ability to read basic blueprints or instructions for building layouts
- Strong physical stamina to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to construction sites and working at heights
- Basic carpentry or roofing experience is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Valid safety certifications or willingness to obtain them prior to starting work
Pay: £130.00-£220.00 per day
