Newton Commercial has been at the heart of classic car restoration since 1979, when husband-and-wife team Richard and Vera Newton began hand-crafting original-specification trim for British classics. Nearly half a century on, we’re still family owned and run, still based in Suffolk, and still proud to be the only British Motor Heritage approved trimmer in the world.
Our skilled team of craftspeople manufacture original-style interior trim for iconic marques including the Classic Mini, Morris Minor, and Triumph Spitfire, GT6 and Herald & Vitesse models — combining traditional hand-crafting methods with modern techniques to recreate authentic seats, carpets, headlining and interior panels to exacting original specifications.
We’re looking for sewing production and finishing operatives to join our team, working with high-quality leather, vinyl and OEM-style fabrics to produce trim for classic cars and other products that the company also produces.
This is not a sewing machinist role. If you have a great attitude, prepared to work hard, take pride in your work, and enjoy working as part of a supportive team, we’d love to hear from you.
