As part of our ongoing commitment to ensuring that all our homes are safe and free from hazards, we are looking to appoint an experienced and dedicated building safety Officer. This role will work across our asset portfolio to ensure we take a comprehensive and co-ordinated approach to building safety at a time when the expectations are rightly increasing.
Reporting to the Building Safety Officer, the post holder will be responsible for supporting on all aspects of building safety, compliance and wider health and safety matters. Working within a growing team of building safety, compliance and health and safety professionals, they will be responsible for supporting in the development and implementation of new processes and policies to address the requirements of the Building Safety Bill and Fire Safety Bill. They will fulfil the role and responsibilities of the Building Safety Surveyor.
Whilst a talented and ambitious leadership team will support the role, you will be joining the building safety and compliance team where you will be required to develop strong relationships and collaborations with other key internal and external stakeholders, and put in place robust policies, process, systems and training.
The successful Building Safety Surveyor will possess:

Excellent knowledge and experience of technical processes with demonstrated consistency in approach, delivery and record keeping.
- Sound understanding of the requirements of digital building information, the future demand for safety case files.
- Sound understanding of wider health, safety and compliance issues.
- The ability to work effectively under pressure and to support both long and short-term work streams in a prioritised manner.
- The ability to be flexible in working hours when the need arises.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop strong, positive working relationships with key stakeholders.
- Willingness to undertake continued learning and personal development.
