Monga's is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead the launch and growth of our new jewellery division.
This is a unique opportunity to build a jewellery business from the ground up, starting at our flagship Southall store, expanding into Birmingham, and supporting the Directors' vision of rolling out the jewellery offering across multiple locations nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the jewellery business strategy.
- Source and purchase jewellery products from suppliers.
- Build relationships with suppliers and customers.
- Drive sales growth and identify new business opportunities.
- Analyse market trends and customer demand.
- Prepare sales reports and recommendations for senior management.
- Recruit and support jewellery sales staff as the division expands.
Requirements
- Proven experience in jewellery retail, jewellery buying, jewellery sales, or jewellery business development.
- Strong knowledge of jewellery products, sourcing, pricing, and market trends.
- Demonstrable experience growing sales and developing new business opportunities.
- Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
- Ability to analyse market data and identify growth opportunities.
- Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
Desirable
- Existing jewellery industry contacts.
- Understanding of South Asian jewellery markets and customer preferences.
- Ability to speak Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu, or Gujarati.
