Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues and safety concerns
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks including engine diagnostics, brake service, engine strip down and rebuild, oil changes, and fluid replacements, gearbox etc
- Use hand tools and power tools efficiently to disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicle components
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks such as moving engines or large parts safely and correctly
- Document all work performed accurately in service records and communicate findings clearly to team members or customers
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all repair procedures to maintain a secure working environment
- Support the team by maintaining a clean, organized workspace and ensuring tools are properly stored after use
Requirements
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and components
- Experience using hand tools and power tools effectively in a repair setting
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely as part of routine maintenance tasks
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Prior experience, ideally fully qualified vehicle technician is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and explain technical issues clearly
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is advantageous
