Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plasterer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying plaster to interior and exterior surfaces, ensuring a high-quality finish that meets project specifications. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying necessary primers before plastering.
- Mix and apply plaster using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to achieve smooth finishes on walls and ceilings.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building regulations.
- Assist with related tasks such as bricklaying, roofing, or welding as required on-site.
- Measure and mark surfaces accurately to ensure precise application of plaster.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, including safe storage of tools and materials.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters and masons to coordinate project progress.
Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialised plastering equipment.
- Experience with bricklaying, masonry, or carpentry is advantageous.
- Knowledge of roofing techniques and welding skills are desirable but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality finishes.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent understanding of health and safety procedures relevant to construction sites.
- Physical fitness for manual labour tasks including lifting heavy materials and working at heights when necessary.
