Mission
The Surface Treatments Manager will be responsible for the operational, technical and people management of the powder coating and anodising plants, ensuring quality, productivity, safety and compliance with industrial standards (Qualicoat, Qualanod, health, safety and environmental regulations).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and organise the daily production activities of the powder coating and anodising plants.
- Ensure coated products meet quality requirements in terms of visual appearance, coating thickness, adhesion and colour consistency.
- Set up and optimise process parameters, including pretreatment, drying, powder application and curing.
- Optimise process recipes for the automatic anodising line.
- Manage, coordinate and supervise plant teams, including operators, line leaders and quality control personnel.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards (Qualicoat, Qualanod and internal procedures).
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including productivity, scrap rates, line downtime, powder consumption and other operational metrics.
- Diagnose technical issues and coordinate the implementation of corrective actions.
- Work closely with the Maintenance Department to maximise equipment availability and reliability.
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process optimisation projects.
Profile
- Strong knowledge of surface treatment processes, including anodising and powder coating.
- Good understanding of environmental regulations (REACH, ISO 14001) and quality standards (ISO 9001).
- Proven experience in team management and production planning.
- Strong analytical skills to optimise quality, costs and production lead times.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work autonomously.
- Continuous improvement mindset.
Pay: £35,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
