Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic In-person secondary/GCSE maths tutor to support students in achieving their academic goals. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and personalised maths tuition, fostering confidence and understanding in GCSE-level mathematics. Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised maths tuition to secondary school students preparing for GCSE examinations.
- Develop customised lesson plans that align with curriculum requirements and individual student needs.
- Assess student progress regularly and adapt teaching strategies accordingly to maximise learning outcomes.
- Create a positive, motivating learning environment that encourages student engagement and confidence.
- Provide clear explanations of mathematical concepts, ensuring comprehension across different learning styles.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and areas for improvement.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and guardians regarding student development and achievements.
- Support students in developing problem-solving skills and exam techniques specific to GCSE maths.
Skills
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching secondary/GCSE maths.
- Strong communication skills to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively.
- Experience working with children or young learners, demonstrating patience and adaptability.
- Knowledge of special education needs (SEN) is desirable, with the ability to tailor approaches accordingly.
- Organised with the ability to plan lessons that meet individual student requirements.
- Passionate about education and committed to fostering a positive learning environment.
- Ability to motivate students and build their confidence in mathematics through supportive guidance.
Pay: £20.00-£25.00 per hour
