Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse/Trainee to join our dynamic dental practice. This position will be for part time, leading up to full time if preferred. The perfect candidate will ideally have experience or be qualifed and will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, assisting the dental team and ensuring a smooth operation within the practice. This position requires a blend of clinical expertise, strong communication skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and patient comfort.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
- Provide excellent patient care by reassuring patients, explaining procedures and addressing any concerns they may have.
- Maintain accurate patient records on SOE and ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner.
- Sterilise instruments and maintain cleanliness in the treatment areas in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient experience and improve clinic efficiency.
Skills
- Strong patient care skills with a focus on empathy and understanding.
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
- Background in nursing or relevant qualifications that demonstrate clinical competence.
- IT skills for managing patient records and using dental software efficiently. SOE preferably.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with patients, families and team members.
