Job Role
This role involves working in our busy timber yard. Daily tasks include loading and unloading vehicles, Picking orders for delivery, assisting customers, stock maintenance, daily forklift checks, keeping the yard and warehouse tidy, and on occasion driving our 3.5t delivery vehicle.
Being compliant with all driving regulations and laws.
Checking loads prior to leaving the yard and at customer delivery sites.
Checking and maintaining all paperwork.
As the nature of our business includes larger and heavier materials it is preferred that applicants have experience with forklift trucks but training can be given. There is also manual handling involved; therefore, we require all applicants to be physically fit and capable of lifting heavy products.
You will be representing the company at all times whether out driving or in the yard and as such will be expected to maintain a high level of customer service.
The ideal candidate should have the following experience:
· Full clean UK driving licence (essential)
· Forklift experience (desirable)
· Time management
· Reliably work the full-time hours Monday to Friday 8.00am – 5.00pm and alternate Saturdays 8.00am-12.00pm
· 28 days paid annual leave (inclusive of statutory holidays)
