About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional who loves creating memorable guest experiences.
At Penally Abbey, this isn't about rushing through hundreds of covers or managing a high-volume operation. Instead, it's about quality, attention to detail and ensuring every guest feels genuinely looked after.
The ideal candidate would be extremely organised, personable and efficient.
This role is focused around providing a fantastic and friendly first impression to our guests and is all about providing great customer service. A successful candidate would need to love interacting, meeting and talking to new people and be a brilliant communicator.
This role requires great communication not just with the customer, but with the other teams within the hotel, from housekeeping to the kitchen team.
Requirements:
- min 1-year experience working on reception in a hotel (or a similar customer-facing role)
- Strong computer skills
- Highly organised
- Has a positive, friendly can do attitude
- Very personable
- A great team player who enjoys working with others
- Good telephone manner
- Happy and eager to support the rest of the team at Penally Abbey
- Ready and willing to learn
- Strong writing and English skills.
Desirable:
(Training will be provided on specific systems used here at the hotel)
- Previous experience working in a boutique hotel and using booking systems.
- Knowledge & experience using ResDiary
The details
- Four daytime shifts. Rotations will include weekends on times
- 8am - 5pm
- 28 days holiday
- Please note: There is no accommodation provision at the premises.
