About the Role
As a Clinical Lead, you will provide clinical leadership, professional guidance and operational support within the Home while helping promote high standards of nursing practice, resident care and clinical governance.
You will work closely with the Home Manager, Deputy Manager, nursing teams and wider colleagues to support safe, effective and person-centred care delivery, while contributing to quality improvement, workforce development and positive resident outcomes.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced registered nurse looking to further develop their leadership skills while making a meaningful impact on resident wellbeing and service quality.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership & Resident Care
- Support the delivery of safe, effective and person-centred nursing care.
- Promote resident wellbeing, dignity, independence and positive clinical outcomes.
- Provide clinical guidance and support in response to changing resident needs and clinical concerns.
- Support assessment, care planning, risk management and resident reviews.
Team Development & Professional Support
- Provide visible clinical leadership and professional support to nursing and care teams.
- Support supervision, mentoring, induction and staff development activities.
- Promote professionalism, accountability and continuous learning.
- Assist with shift coordination and delegation of duties where required.
Communication & Multidisciplinary Working
- Develop positive relationships with residents, families and external professionals.
- Participate in handovers, reviews, meetings and multidisciplinary discussions.
- Communicate clinical information accurately and professionally.
- Escalate safeguarding, operational or clinical concerns appropriately.
Governance, Quality & Professional Standards
- Support medicines management, clinical governance and quality assurance activities
- Maintain accurate documentation and professional records.
- Contribute to audits, inspections, investigations and improvement initiatives.
- Promote compliance with NMC standards, organisational policies and regulatory requirements.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for individuals who are:
- Registered Nurses (RN, RMN or RNLD) with active NMC registration
- Experienced within regulated healthcare, nursing or care environments, with a minimum of two years' post-registration experience
- Professional, clinically credible and confident leaders
- Passionate about delivering high-quality care and supporting others to succeed
- Strong communicators with excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Committed to governance, quality improvement and resident wellbeing
