The Temple is a fast-paced, high-volume venue offering food, drinks, live sport, entertainment and private events. We're looking for a reliable and organised Cellar & Bar Supervisor to take ownership of our cellar operations while supporting the day-to-day running of the bar.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes but is equally confident supporting service and leading by example.
The Role
As Cellar & Bar Supervisor, you'll be responsible for ensuring the venue is fully stocked, organised and ready for service every day. You'll oversee stock control, deliveries and cellar standards while supporting the management team to deliver smooth and efficient bar operations.
This role is perfect for someone with strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and a passion for maintaining high standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the cellar
- Receive, check and correctly store all deliveries
- Rotate stock using FIFO principles
- Maintain accurate stock levels and assist with stock takes
- Ensure the cellar is clean, organised and compliant at all times
- Complete regular cellar cleaning and maintenance schedules
- Monitor cellar temperatures and report equipment issues
- Change kegs and ensure products are available for service
- Support bar operations during busy trading periods
- Assist managers with ordering and stock control
- Train team members on correct stock handling procedures
- Promote a safe working environment and comply with Health & Safety procedures

Essential Experience & Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality
- Experience handling stock and deliveries
- Knowledge of stock rotation and stock control
- Experience with beer dispense systems and line cleaning
- Experience working behind a busy bar
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Understanding of health and safety requirements
- Must be available to work every Thursday morning to oversee weekly cellar maintenance, deliveries and stock management
Desirable
- Previous cellar management experience
- Experience with stock ordering systems
- Personal Licence Holder
- Supervisory experience within hospitality
