Director of Asset Management
£70,000 per annum + Executive Car Allowance + Private Medical Insurance
The Social Housing Family CIC is an ambitious and growing organisation delivering high-quality supported housing and housing-related services across England and Wales. As we continue to expand our portfolio and strengthen our Executive Leadership Team, we are seeking an experienced Director of Asset Management to lead our property, compliance and maintenance functions.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this is a genuine Executive Director opportunity. You will be responsible for leading the Group's Asset Management Strategy whilst retaining operational oversight of repairs, maintenance, compliance and capital investment across our property portfolio.
Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Commercial Director, Finance Director and Director of Housing & Support, you will help shape the future direction of the organisation by ensuring our assets remain safe, compliant, financially sustainable and capable of supporting continued growth.
The successful candidate will lead the Repairs & Maintenance team, Compliance function, Maintenance Helpdesk and Mobile Maintenance Team, providing strategic leadership whilst remaining actively involved in complex property matters, major investment programmes and organisational growth projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the Group's Asset Management Strategy.
- Providing executive leadership for statutory property compliance and building safety.
- Overseeing responsive repairs, planned maintenance and capital investment programmes.
- Leading technical due diligence for acquisitions, portfolio transfers and mobilisation projects.
- Working alongside the Commercial Director to support capital investment and portfolio growth.
- Providing assurance to the Executive Leadership Team and Board on asset performance, compliance and investment priorities.
- Developing high-performing teams and driving continuous improvement across the Asset Management function.
We're looking for an experienced asset management leader with a strong understanding of social housing, supported housing or property management. You'll have experience of leading repairs and maintenance services, statutory compliance, contractor management and long-term investment planning, together with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and contribute to organisational strategy.
