Position: Production Team Leader
Location: Evesham, Worcestershire
Salary: Up to £39,600 per annum
Hours: Full-Time, 12-hour day shifts (6:00am – 6:00pm)
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Production Team Leader to join our food manufacturing team in Evesham.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident leader with a background in food production who can motivate teams, maintain high food safety and quality standards, and ensure production targets are achieved safely and efficiently.
You'll take ownership of your production area, leading your team to deliver excellent operational performance while driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
As a Production Team Leader, you will:
- Lead, motivate and support a team of Production Operatives.
- Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Maintain the highest standards of food safety, quality, hygiene and GMP.
- Deliver daily production plans safely, efficiently and on schedule.
- Monitor productivity, waste, downtime and labour performance.
- Complete production records accurately and ensure compliance with company procedures.
- Carry out performance reviews, return-to-work meetings and coaching sessions.
- Identify training and development needs within your team.
- Investigate issues, solve problems and implement corrective actions.
- Support internal, customer and third-party audits.
- Promote a positive culture of accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience as a Team Leader, Supervisor or Line Leader within a food manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, quality standards and GMP.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- The ability to coach, motivate and develop others.
- Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with production targets and KPIs.
- A proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
