Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Security Officer to safeguard our premises, clients, contractors, employees and guests. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for, maintaining a visible presence, preventing incidents, respond to emergencies, conducting patrols, ensure compliance with company policies and site procedures and ensuring a safe environment for everyone on-site.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out thorough searches upon guest entry.
- Conduct regular patrols of the venue to identify and address security concerns promptly.
- Control access to buildings and restricted areas, verifying identification and authorisation.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies.
- Cooperate with venue management and emergency services when required.
Requirements
- No less than 2 years experience working in public venue.
- Preferably must provide WAVE and counter terrorism certificate.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond with confidence and effectiveness in situations.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail and situational awareness.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk or patrol for extended periods during shifts.
- Flexibility to shift work including: nights, weekends and public holidays.
