We’re opening a new depot in the DE7 area and we’re looking for an experienced CAP-qualified Mobile Powered Access Engineer to join our team. This is a mobile role, working from our new DE7 depot and travelling to customer sites to service, inspect, diagnose and repair powered access equipment. It’s a great opportunity for someone who knows powered access, enjoys getting out and about rather than being workshop-based every day, and wants to join us at an exciting time as we expand our operation.
The Role. Working Mon-Fri, 7:30am-5:00pm on a varied range of powered access equipment, including:
- Truck-mounted MEWPs
- Van-mounted MEWPs
- Spider-mounted MEWPs
Your day-to-day work will include:
- Attending customer sites to diagnose and repair equipment
- Servicing and maintaining powered access equipment
- Fault finding and diagnostics
- Hydraulic, electrical and mechanical repairs
- LOLER inspections and thorough examinations
- Identifying defects and completing necessary repairs
- Preparing machines to ensure they are safe, compliant and ready for use
- Maintaining accurate service, inspection and repair records
- Working to a consistently high standard of safety and workmanship

About you: We’re looking for someone with good hands-on experience within the powered access industry who is comfortable working independently out in the field. Ideally, you’ll have:
- CAP qualification
- Experience working on truck, van and/or spider-mounted MEWPs
- Strong electrical, hydraulic and mechanical knowledge
- Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- A practical, problem-solving approach
- Good understanding of LOLER requirements
- Full UK driving licence
- Confidence dealing with customers and representing the business on site

Starting salary £39,780.00 increasing depending on experience
