Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Head Housekeeper to oversee the organisation, staff training and general standards of all our staff and properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a background in hospitality or janitorial services. This role is vital in maintaining high standards of hygiene and guest satisfaction, ensuring the smooth operation. The Head Housekeeper will lead a team of housekeeping staff and coordinate daily tasks.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff to ensure efficient operations
- Cleaning of holiday lets, domestics and businesses
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain cleanliness standards
- Train new staff members on cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and customer service standards
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring stock levels are maintained
- Collaborate with management to facilitate smooth operations
Skills
- Proven experience in housekeeping management or cleaning
- Strong leadership and organisation skills with the ability to motivate a team
- Excellent attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Prior experience in cleaning
