Warehouse Operations Assistant
Location: Welshpool
Due to continued growth here at The PHL group, we are introducing a new role to help support our growing operational needs. We have three positions available for the role of Warehouse Operations Assistant.
Hours:
- 2 x Full Time positions: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm (37.5 hours per week)
- 1 x Weekend position: Saturday & Sunday, 8:00am – 4:00pm (15 hours per week)
Salary: £12.71 per hour

The Role
This is a varied warehouse support role that goes beyond traditional picking and packing.
As a Warehouse Operations Assistant, you will play an important role in keeping the warehouse running smoothly by supporting stock replenishment, dispatch preparation, courier sorting, packaging supplies, recycling management, and general warehouse operations. You will also assist with picking and packing during busy periods to help ensure customer orders are processed accurately and on time.
This role would suit someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and is happy to support different areas of the warehouse as business needs change.
Key Responsibilities
- Replenishing stock locations throughout the warehouse.
- Sorting parcels for collection by multiple courier partners.
- Maintaining packaging stations and ensuring consumables are readily available.
- Supporting picking and packing operations during periods of high demand.
- Assisting with stock checks and inventory management activities.
- Managing cardboard and plastic recycling processes and operating warehouse equipment where trained.
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and warehouse organisation.
- Following all health and safety procedures and company policies.
- Supporting colleagues across different warehouse functions as required.
- Contributing to the achievement of operational targets and service levels.
About You

- Has good attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Is flexible and willing to undertake a variety of tasks.
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
- Has previous warehouse or logistics experience (desirable but not essential).
- Comfortable with physical work and some heavy lifting on occasion (full manual handling training is provided and lifting aids are supplied).
