Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Children Support Worker to provide compassionate care and support to children in a variety of settings. The successful candidate will play a vital role in fostering a safe, nurturing environment that promotes the emotional and developmental well-being of children. Duties
- Assist children with daily routines, including dressing, feeding, and personal hygiene.
- Develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to each child's needs.
- Support children's emotional and behavioural development through positive reinforcement and appropriate activities.
- Facilitate engaging educational and recreational activities to promote learning and social skills.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, behaviour, and any incidents.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of children at all times by adhering to health and safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues regarding children's progress and needs.
- Drive children to appointments or activities as required, ensuring safe transportation.
- Contribute to team meetings and training sessions to continually improve care standards.
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in a childcare or support setting.
- Strong communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with children, parents, and team members.
- Ability to develop and follow care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Competence in using IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes.
- Valid driving licence with clean driving record for safe transportation duties.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting children's development.

Pay: £14.00-£17.00 per hour
