Overview
The Insulation Planner is responsible for the day-to-day planning and coordination of all insulation installation teams. The role ensures that work is scheduled efficiently, installers have all the information and materials they need, customers are kept informed, and projects are completed safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.
This is a key operational role requiring excellent organisational skills, problem-solving ability and communication with surveyors, installers, customers and office staff.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Scheduling
- Schedule daily and weekly workloads for all fitting teams.
- Allocate jobs based on installer skills, location and availability.
- Maximise installer productivity and minimise travel time.
- Monitor workloads and adjust schedules to accommodate changes.
- Ensure emergency or priority jobs are allocated promptly.
- Maintain an accurate installation diary.
Team Management
- Act as the main point of contact for installation teams.
- Provide installers with job packs, plans and customer information.
- Ensure teams have all required materials before attending site.
- Resolve day-to-day operational issues.
- Monitor attendance, holidays and sickness.
- Assist with labour planning as workloads fluctuate.
Customer Liaison
- Contact customers to arrange installation appointments.
- Confirm installation dates and expected arrival times.
- Keep customers updated regarding delays or schedule changes.
- Handle customer queries professionally.
- Coordinate return visits where required.
Operational Coordination
- Liaise with surveyors regarding completed surveys.
- Ensure surveys are suitable before work is scheduled.
- Coordinate with purchasing to ensure materials are available.
- Arrange scaffold, skips and specialist equipment where required.
- Coordinate subcontractors when necessary.
Compliance
- Ensure works are planned in accordance with company procedures.
- Verify that required risk assessments and documentation are available.
- Ensure installer qualifications remain valid.
- Support compliance with PAS 2030/2035 (where applicable).
- Maintain accurate installation records.
Quality & Performance
- Monitor installation progress.
- Ensure completion paperwork is returned promptly.
- Track outstanding remedial works.
- Assist in improving installation efficiency.
- Report recurring issues to management.
Administration
- Maintain accurate job records.
- Produce weekly installation schedules.
- Record completed works.
- Maintain customer and installer records.

Pay: £26,000.00-£28,600.00 per year
