Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles and machinery. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and machinery to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake inspections.
- Diagnose mechanical problems using diagnostic equipment and tools.
- Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including parts used and time spent on repairs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean working environment.
- Collaborate with other team members to improve processes and enhance service quality.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in automotive technology or mechanics are advantageous but not essential.
- A valid driver's licence is required; additional qualifications for specific vehicle types may be beneficial.
