Duties
- Prepare, cook, and present a diverse range of dishes according to menu specifications and quality standards
- Assist in planning menus and developing new recipes to enhance our culinary offerings
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Monitor ingredient stock levels and place orders as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods
- Follow all health and safety guidelines, including proper handling of food and equipment
- Ensure all food is stored correctly, labelled, and rotated to minimise waste
- Serve dishes to customers when required, providing excellent customer service
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation within a professional kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, with an understanding of fast-paced service environments
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
- Good communication skills to work collaboratively within a team
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and maintain attention to detail during busy service times
