Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring a smooth operation and high standards of hygiene. Duties
- Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen supervisors
- Maintaining cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas within the kitchen
- Supporting the organisation of kitchen equipment and supplies for efficient workflow
- Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Ensuring all health and safety guidelines are adhered to at all times during daily operations
Requirements
- Prior experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, or culinary practices is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good organisational skills and a proactive attitude towards cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings and weekends if necessary
- A positive approach to teamwork and customer service within a hospitality setting
