As a Roofers Mate / Labourer you will play a vital role in supporting roofing projects from start to finish! This energetic position is perfect for individuals eager to learn, contribute to construction excellence, and develop valuable skills in roofing and general construction. As a Roofers Labourer, you will assist skilled roofers by preparing sites, handling materials, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help us deliver high-quality roofing solutions efficiently and safely.
Duties
- Assist roofers with loading, unloading, and organizing roofing materials and tools on site
- Prepare work areas by cleaning, setting up scaffolding, and ensuring all safety measures are in place
- Use hand tools, power tools, and basic fabrication equipment to support roofing tasks
- Support with heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, metal panels, or insulation components
- Aid in the installation of roofing components by holding materials in position or assisting with measurements
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to always promote safety and efficiency
Experience
- Previous construction experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding, or carpentry is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively throughout the workday
- Knowledge of roofing techniques or masonry work can be beneficial but is not mandatory
- Strong work ethic with a focus on safety, teamwork, and attention to detail
Schedule
· Monday to Friday with occasional overtime
· Day shift
Requirements
· Full Uk Driving Licence (Preferred)
· CSCS Card
· Self employed Preferred but not essential
Pay: £30,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
