Job Title: Skilled Groundworker (Self-Employed / CIS)
Location: Glasgow / Central Belt (Site-based, with regional travel opportunities)
Salary / Rate: £17.00 – £20.00 per hour (CIS) + Lodge & Travel Allowances (where applicable)
Job Type: Full-time, Temporary / Sub-contract (Immediate Start)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40–50 hours per week (Overtime available)
About the Role:
CiviX Group Ltd is currently recruiting skilled, experienced Groundworkers for ongoing infrastructure and civil engineering contracts. We are looking for self-motivated operatives who can work confidently from site drawings and deliver high-standard groundworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deep drainage installation, service ducting, and utility pipe laying.
- General site groundwork including slab laying, kerbing, ironwork, and concrete finishing.
- Operating safely around live services and assisting site plant operators.
- Adhering to strict site health, safety, and environmental standards.
Essential Requirements:
- Valid CSCS Card (Blue Skilled Worker preferred).
- Minimum 5+ years proven site experience in heavy civil engineering or groundworks.
- Valid UTR (Unique Taxpayer Reference) for CIS self-employed status.
- Full Right to Work in the UK.
Desirable Criteria & Tickets (Strong Advantage):
- Full UK Driving Licence and own transport.
- EUSR Cards (SHEA Power, Gas, or Water).
- NRSWA (Street Works) Operative ticket.
- SSSTS or Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW).
- CPCS / NPORS Plant tickets (Forward Tipping Dumper, Ride-on Roller, 360 Excavator).
- Open to occasional travel for regional and utility contracts, with lodge/travel allowances where applicable.
