Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grill Cook to join our busy kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and culinary excellence, with experience working in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of grilled dishes according to recipes and customer specifications
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grill station and surrounding areas
- Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients as required
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure consistent quality
- Serve food promptly and courteously to customers or front-of-house staff
- Follow food safety procedures at all times, including proper storage and handling of ingredients
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during busy periods
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or catering environment is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen hygiene
- Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques, particularly grilling methods
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Experience in serving or front-of-house duties is a plus but not essential
- A genuine passion for culinary arts and delivering excellent customer service
