Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and compassionate Registered Manager to oversee the daily operations of our home care specialising in senior care, including dementia and Alzheimer's care. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of , Domicillary care , and medication administration, ensuring the delivery of exceptional care services. This leadership role requires a proactive individual with proven supervising experience and a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of care and compliance within a regulated environment. The successful applicant will be responsible for leading a dedicated team, developing personalised care plans, and fostering a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment for residents.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day management of the care home, ensuring all activities comply with relevant legislation and quality standards.
- Lead, supervise, and motivate staff to deliver outstanding senior care, including dementia and Alzheimer's care.
- Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans tailored to individual resident needs.
- Ensure medication administration is carried out accurately and safely in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain effective communication with residents' families, healthcare professionals, and regulatory bodies.
- Monitor operational budgets, resource allocation, and staffing levels to optimise service delivery.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to uphold health & safety standards and improve overall quality of care.
- Lead staff training programmes focused on specialised areas such as dementia care, medication management, and leadership development.
- Ensure compliance with all legal requirements related to home care services and safeguarding procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in domiciliary within a senior or dementia care environment.
- Strong background in nursing or healthcare management with relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care).
- Extensive knowledge of dementia care practices, Alzheimer’s disease management, and medication administration protocols.
- Demonstrated supervising experience with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams effectively.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to individual residents’ needs.
- Leadership qualities combined with empathy, patience, and excellent communication skills.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards governing adult social care environments in the UK.
