Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in a care home setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a commitment to senior care, and the ability to follow care plans effectively. This role requires a proactive approach to supervising daily activities and ensuring the well-being of residents.
Duties
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
- Implement and follow individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure quality care.
- Supervise and engage residents in social and recreational activities to promote mental and physical well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment within the care home.
- Document any changes in resident behaviour or health status accurately.
- Drive residents to appointments or outings as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
- Collaborate with other staff members to provide leadership in delivering high-quality care.
Experience
- Previous experience in a care home or senior care environment is preferred but not essential.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise others effectively.
- Proficient IT skills for documentation and communication purposes.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with residents and their families.
- A genuine passion for providing quality care and support to seniors is essential.
