This is an exciting time to join us, as we have a major refurbishment and relaunch planned for early 2027! We are looking for a dedicated Chef de Partie to prepare fresh seasonal ingredients and help our kitchen team deliver wonderful meals to our guests both now and through this upcoming expansion.What You Will Do
- Kitchen flexibility: Work across all areas of the kitchen, with the ability to move smoothly around every section as needed.
- Cook with care: Prepare and cook classic French dishes to a high standard.
- Morning service: Cover 2 breakfast shifts per week serving traditional full English breakfasts.
- Sunday service: Help prepare and serve what is probably Taunton's best Sunday lunch, maintaining our very high standards.
- Keep standards high: Follow food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness rules at all times.
- Work as a team: Help support and train junior kitchen staff during busy services.
What We Need From You
- Experience: Previous experience working as a Chef de Partie or a strong Commis/Demi Chef ready for the next step.
- Versatility: Comfortable cooking classic French dinners, traditional British breakfasts, and a premium Sunday roast across multiple stations.
- Passion: A genuine love for fresh food, flavours, and excellent presentation.
- Reliability: The ability to stay calm and focused during busy lunch and dinner shifts.
- Certificates: Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate (preferred).
What We Offer
- Pay: Salary up to £31,000 per year (depending on experience).
- Bonus: An equal share of tips and service charge on top of your base pay.
