Aim Escape has been operating in London for 10 years, and is looking for a new Manager to join the team. They should be motivated, enthusiastic, with a varied set of hands-on and technical skills and relevant experience, as well as being great at solving puzzles (both literally and metaphorically).
The applicant should have worked previously in a similar area, with preference for Escape rooms, and be eager to learn much more. They will be managing a team of game masters and welcoming customers, as well as fixing any problems that should arise - including DIY, customer service and team management.
Duties include:
- Team management - lead a dedicated game master team, and liase with other members of staff.
- Assisting with staff scheduling, dealing with queries, and supervising the game masters for effective daily operation.
- Customer service - answering customer calls and emails as well as dealing with queries face to face, in a polite and professional manner.
- Optimising bookings, including corporate events.Understanding and navigating our booking system
- Game Mastering - being able to comfortably greet teams and run games as a game master when needed (specific training will be provided)
- Minor maintenance - being able to, or eager to learn how to, fix minor props or be confident enough to create a suitable alternative in last-minute situations. Keen eye for detail regarding the upkeep of props and tech.Previous experience and a varied set of skills is beneficial, including basic DIY and use of power tools.
We are looking for someone:
- ideally with some minor room maintenance experience to troubleshoot any issues that should occur
- with fast response times (necessary)
- with similar previous supervisory or managerial role, within the escape room, leisure or hospitality sector (necessary)
- comfortable talking to people, as well as taking responsibility and accountability when needed (necessary)
- able to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays (necessary)
- able to begin work at 9am earliest and leave work at midnight latest (necessary)
- some experience navigating Google Drive, especially Sheets (necessary)
- computer literate (necessary)
- Team leader (necessary)
- photo and video editing experience like Adobe and Canva (preferred)
- some graphic design experience (preferred)
- social media experience (preferred)
- game master experience (preferred)
- with a sense of humour (preferred)
