We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a BRICKLAYER. This role involves hands-on construction and maintenance work, requiring a strong understanding of various building techniques and tools. Responsibilities
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out masonry, carpentry, roofing, and welding tasks.
- Lay bricks and blocks accurately according to specifications, ensuring structural integrity.
- Perform general masonry work, including mixing mortar and installing concrete elements.
- Assist with roofing installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Operate welding equipment safely to join metal components as required.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and plans to execute projects effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organised worksite, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently within deadlines.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in bricklaying, masonry, carpentry, roofing, or welding is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of construction safety standards and procedures.
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Good physical fitness with the ability to perform manual tasks in various weather conditions.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in construction trades are advantageous but not essential.
