Business Development Manager - London
(This is a non-clinical, commercial role ideal for Dental Nurses looking to move into a business/sales career)
We are recruiting a Business Development Manager, on behalf of one of the world's leading oral healthcare brands, to cover a London territory. This is a commercial position - you will not be providing clinical care - but it has been created with Dental Nurses specifically in mind, as the role draws heavily on the practice knowledge, patient understanding and professionalism that clinical experience provides.
No prior sales experience is required. Full training will be provided on the commercial and business development side of the role. What matters most is your existing understanding of dental practice life, strong communication skills, and the drive to succeed in a field-based, target-driven environment.
The Role
As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for growing sales, brand visibility and distribution across the company's full product range, working with both new and existing customers within dental practices. You will be based in the field for the majority of the working week, building relationships with key decision-makers and clinical teams.
Core responsibilities include:
- Growing sales, brand visibility and distribution of products across the full range with new and existing customers
- Planning and delivering "Lunch & Learn" education sessions within dental practices
- Attending and presenting at evening meetings, regional meetings, and national/international exhibitions (occasional overnight and weekend work required)
- Identifying and developing relationships with key opinion leaders within your territory
- Attending quarterly national sales meetings, including overnight stays
- Journey planning your territory to ensure full and efficient account coverage
- Completing all administrative tasks accurately and on time
Candidate Requirements
- Strong knowledge of, and passion for, oral healthcare
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- A resilient, adaptable, and results-driven approach
- Must live within the London territory, or within a reasonably commutable distance
- Full UK driving licence required

- £35,000 - £38,000 basic salary, dependent on experience
- Up to £4,000 per annum performance-related bonus, paid quarterly

- Private medical cover
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, with the option to purchase up to 3 additional days
