In this varied role, you'll be at the heart of patient care, supporting the pharmacist and dispensary team while providing an excellent service to the local community.
Key responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and assist with over-the-counter enquiries
- Support the dispensing process under the supervision of the pharmacist
- Accurately label, assemble and hand out prescriptions
- Manage stock, including ordering, receiving deliveries and rotating shelves
- Maintain a clean, tidy and organised pharmacy environment
- Handle transactions at the till and process payments accurately
- Signpost customers to appropriate NHS services when required
- Ensure patient confidentiality and follow all standard operating procedures
What we're looking for:
- A friendly, approachable manner with strong customer service skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- A willingness to learn and develop within the role
- The ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Previous experience in a pharmacy or retail setting is desirable but not essential
- A relevant pharmacy qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 2) is welcomed, though full training can be provided for the right candidate
Please note - this is a full time role (40 hours a week) Monday - Saturday
