As we continue to grow, we are looking for a motivated and ambitious Waste Management Consultant to join our team at our Heworth office.
The Role
As a Waste Management Consultant, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with prospective clients, and providing tailored waste management solutions that deliver both financial and environmental benefits.
This is an office-based sales role focused on consultative selling, where you will work with businesses across a range of sectors to understand their waste requirements and present bespoke service proposals.
Key Responsibilities
· Generate new business through outbound calls, referrals and prospecting.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing customers.
· Conduct waste management consultations to identify cost-saving opportunities.
· Prepare quotations and tailored service proposals.
· Manage your sales pipeline using the company's CRM system.
· Achieve and exceed individual sales targets.
· Liaise with suppliers and operational teams to ensure smooth customer onboarding.
· Keep up to date with industry developments and environmental legislation.
· Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the sales process.
What We're Looking For
Essential
· Previous experience in a sales, business development or account management role.
· Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
· Self-motivated with a positive and driven attitude.
· Strong organisational and time management skills.
· Confident using Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
· Experience within the waste management, environmental or facilities management sector.
· Knowledge of commercial waste and recycling services.
· Experience preparing quotations or tender submissions.
