What You'll Be Doing
As an Traffic Manager, you'll be at the heart of our operation:
- Leading, motivating and engaging drivers to maintain the highest standards of safety, conduct, and performance
- Overseeing staff attendance, welfare, and professional development
- Managing sickness and absence procedures, probation, inductions, and exit processes
- Conducting route risk assessments and monitoring road safety performance
- Liaising with Trade Union reps, senior managers, and colleagues to drive staff quality standards and accident prevention
- Ensuring payroll accuracy and contract compliance through strong administrative oversight
- Handling public enquiries, lost property, and community correspondence with professionalism
- Maintaining a strong focus on Health & Safety at all times
This is a challenging but rewarding leadership role, where your ability to balance people management with operational delivery will directly impact the success of our garages.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in the bus, transport, or logistics industry
- Strong people management skills with proven ability to handle performance issues
- In-depth knowledge of platform staff rules, company discipline, and attendance procedures
- Excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving skills
- Financial awareness, with the ability to interpret and act on KPIs
- Solid IT skills (Windows, MS Word, Excel)
- A strong grasp of Health & Safety standards – IOSH or NEBOSH desirable
- Management CPC (or willingness to work towards it)
