Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Practitioner Level 3 to join our busy, inclusive and enriching Nursery . In this role, you will be instrumental in creating a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment where young children can learn, grow, and develop holistically. Good communicative skills and a friendly persona will support you to create positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's early development while working alongside a supportive and energetic team.
Responsibilities
- Safeguard all children, parents and staff in our safeguarding rich cultured setting.
- Plan, create and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote children’s development across all 7 areas of learning.
- Co-operatively work with a team of staff to maintain a safe, secure, fun environment for children while ensuring a high standard of care and education.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment in compliance with health & safety and food hygiene regulations.
- Build strong, positive relationships with children to become a brilliant key worker, who knows a child's strengths and weaknesses and can create next step targets and plan appropriately to support individual needs.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers about children’s progress, milestones, and any/or concerns.
- Manage daily routines such as meal times, nap times, toileting and outdoor play to ensure smooth operation of the nursery routine.
- Play an active role in the ongoing assessment of children’s development using observations and record keeping creating a learning journal. (Tapestry)
Qualifications
- Hold a relevant Level 3 qualification in Childcare.
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early years setting.
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members
- A strong knowledge of the EYFS, child development patterns and best practices in childcare to work with children aged 6 months to 4 years.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
