Job Summary
Sparklixon is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented self-employed cleaner to provide domestic cleaning services across Sidcup and the surrounding area (up to 10 miles). You'll be cleaning private homes for a variety of regular and one-off clients, with the flexibility to choose the hours and jobs that suit your schedule. This is genuinely flexible, self-employed work — you decide your availability, and we match you with local bookings.
What the work involves
- Thorough cleaning of homes including kitchens, bathrooms, living areas, and bedrooms
- Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and general tidying to a consistently high standard
- Using your own cleaning products and equipment (or client-provided products where agreed)
- Occasionally covering deep cleans, such as end-of-tenancy jobs, for a higher rate
- Communicating directly with Sparklixon regarding job scheduling and any issues on-site
- Treating every client's home and belongings with care and respect
What we're looking for
- Previous domestic or commercial cleaning experience preferred, but not essential if you're reliable and thorough
- Genuine attention to detail and pride in a job well done
- Trustworthy and comfortable working independently inside private homes
- Own transport or reliable means of travelling within the Sidcup area
- Good communication — able to confirm jobs, flag any issues, and keep in touch about availability
- Physically able to manage standing, bending, and general activity throughout a clean
Pay & flexibility
£13–£17 per hour, self-employed. Hours vary week to week based on availability and bookings — genuinely flexible, no minimum commitment. Referral programme available if you know other reliable cleaners looking for extra work.
