We are seeking an outstanding Guest Services Manager to lead the front-of-house operation of a luxury hotel in the stunning lake district area. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate hospitality professional who thrives on delivering exceptional guest experiences and setting the highest standards of service excellence.
As Guest Services Manager, you will be the face of the hotel, ensuring every guest receives a warm welcome, personalised attention, and a truly memorable stay. You will lead and inspire the Reception and Night Teams, creating a culture of excellence where attention to detail, genuine hospitality, and guest satisfaction are at the heart of everything we do.
The Role
Reporting to and working closely with the hotel senior management team, you will be responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of all guest-facing services, ensuring the delivery of a seamless luxury experience from arrival to departure.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, motivating and developing the Reception and Night Teams to consistently deliver exceptional service.
- Creating memorable guest experiences through personalised service and attention to detail.
- Ensuring every guest receives a warm, professional and engaging welcome.
- Overseeing guest arrivals and departures, including valet parking, luggage assistance and room escorts.
- Driving a culture of luxury hospitality and exceeding guest expectations at every opportunity.
- Coaching and developing team members through regular training, mentoring and performance management.
- Managing guest feedback and resolving concerns with professionalism, empathy and efficiency.
- Using your knowledge of the local area to enhance guest experiences through recommendations and personalised itineraries.
- Identifying opportunities to add value through the promotion of hotel facilities, experiences and upgrades.
- Maintaining the highest standards of presentation, service delivery and operational excellence.
- Working closely with other departments to ensure a seamless guest journey throughout the hotel.
About You
We are looking for a hospitality professional with a genuine passion for service and a proven track record within a luxury hotel environment.
You will have:
- Previous experience in a Guest Services Manager, Front Office Manager, Reception Manager or similar leadership role.
- A background within a luxury 4-star, 5-star or Red Star hotel environment.
- Outstanding people management and leadership skills.
- Experience coaching, mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
- A warm, engaging and welcoming personality with exceptional interpersonal skills.
- An uncompromising commitment to guest satisfaction and service excellence.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience driving upgrades and ancillary revenue opportunities.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to remain calm, professional and solution-focused in a fast-paced environment.
