Job Introduction
Launch & Operations Director – Impact Investment Group
At Impact Investment Group, we're building a national housing, care and social impact ecosystem — connecting property investors, landlords, developers, housing associations, local authorities, care and support providers, and the people who need suitable housing with support. Providing Homes. Delivering Support. Transforming Lives.
If you're a builder and implementer who thrives on turning ambitious vision into organised, commercially viable delivery, and you're motivated by better outcomes for the people we ultimately serve as much as by strong performance, we want to hear from you.
We're looking for an experienced Launch & Operations Director to work directly with our Founder & CEO, Israel Silgram, providing the operational leadership needed to turn a bold vision into a focused, revenue-generating launch.
About Impact Investment Group
Impact Investment Group is developing a national housing, care and social impact ecosystem that connects property investors, landlords, developers, housing associations, local authorities, care and support providers, and people who need suitable housing with support.
Our wider proposition brings together professional education, mentoring, live events, strategic networking, property and provider partnerships, and an AI-enabled technology platform designed to improve demand intelligence, property suitability, compliance readiness, matching, and social-impact reporting.
We're guided by a commitment to integrity, collaboration, innovation, compassion, inclusion, and measurable social impact.
The Role
As Launch & Operations Director, you will:
-
Work directly with the Founder & CEO to translate strategic vision into prioritised plans, budgets and accountable actions, maintaining a disciplined Now/Next/Later/Not Pursuing portfolio
-
Own and lead the integrated 30-, 60- and 90-day launch plan, coordinating the Academy, mentoring, membership/network, live events, marketing, partnerships and technology workstreams as one customer journey
-
Convert the Founder's knowledge and IP into structured Academy and mentoring programmes, and build the first live event programme end-to-end (venues, suppliers, speakers, sponsorship, budgets)
-
Act as the operational bridge between the Founder, users, developers and commercial teams, translating priorities into product requirements and coordinating beta testing
-
Build and manage the commercial pipeline from initial enquiry through to collected income, implementing a fit-for-purpose CRM and setting launch budgets, pricing and revenue targets
-
Design proportionate operating procedures, governance, and risk/decision/action registers, and support recruitment and performance management as the launch team grows
-
Prepare concise decision papers and weekly dashboards, protecting the Founder's time by consolidating operational matters and escalating only material decisions
-
Run controlled pilots and soft-launch activity, capturing evidence to improve the operating model before national scale-up
You'll work closely with the Founder & CEO, existing group leaders and service heads, technology developers, marketing/design/event suppliers, housing associations and local authorities, care and support providers, property investors and strategic partners, professional advisers, and Academy participants, mentors and sponsors.
What Success Looks Like
-
First 30 days: audit existing assets, confirm minimum launch scope, and establish governance, budget, CRM and an integrated delivery plan
-
Days 31–60: complete the customer journey, paid offers, event plan, sales pipeline and platform demonstration readiness
-
Days 61–90: deliver controlled pilot activity, open the first paid offer, collect income, and capture feedback for improvement
-
By six months: establish a repeatable commercial launch model and a credible plan for wider recruitment and national growth
Contract & Location
-
Full-time; initially a six-month fixed-term contract or permanent with a six-month probation, subject to final agreement
-
Hybrid / UK-based, with travel for meetings, partnerships and live events
-
Reports to: Founder & CEO, Israel Silgram
About You
You will:
-
Be a builder and implementer who takes ownership and completes what's agreed, without becoming bureaucratic or slowing entrepreneurial momentum
-
Be commercially astute, financially responsible, and focused on sustainable collected income
-
Be calm, credible and resilient when managing competing demands and changing priorities
-
Be confident enough to challenge the Founder respectfully, backed by evidence-based alternatives
-
Be able to move fluidly between strategic thinking and hands-on execution
-
Be collaborative and emotionally intelligent, capable of building trust across very different stakeholder groups
-
Be motivated by both commercial performance and positive outcomes for people who need housing, care and support
Essential:
-
Demonstrable experience taking a new service, venture, programme, membership, event series or platform from concept through to launch
-
Strong experience creating plans, systems, governance and accountability across multiple concurrent workstreams
-
Evidence of building customer journeys, managing pipelines, controlling budgets and contributing to revenue generation
-
Experience working directly with an entrepreneurial or visionary founder, translating ideas into disciplined execution
-
Ability to manage scope, timelines, dependencies, suppliers, risks and quality using fit-for-purpose project methods
-
Excellent written, verbal, presentation and stakeholder-management skills, including concise executive reporting
-
Ability to prioritise, challenge constructively, make sound recommendations, and operate confidently with ambiguity
-
Confident use of CRM, collaboration, project-management, reporting and productivity technology
-
Commitment to integrity, collaboration, innovation, compassion, inclusion and measurable social impact
Desirable:
-
Experience in housing, property, social care, public services, regulated services, education, events or technology
-
Experience coordinating software developers, product discovery, beta testing or technology implementation
-
Experience delivering professional education, membership communities, conferences, workshops or mentoring programmes
-
Relevant degree, professional qualification, or equivalent senior-level experience in operations, business or project delivery
What We Offer
-
Basic salary of £60,000–£70,000 per annum, depending on experience and final scope
-
Performance-related bonus of up to 10% of basic salary, subject to agreed written objectives balancing launch delivery, operational readiness, programme/event outcomes and collected income (no bonus for activity alone, uncollected invoices, unsigned proposals or verbal commitments)
-
A genuinely senior, hands-on build-and-launch role working directly with our Founder & CEO
-
Package, responsibilities and longer-term structure reviewed after the initial launch period and evidence of sustainable revenue
Additional Information
-
Applicants should provide a current CV and a concise supporting statement explaining how their experience meets the essential criteria, describing one example of a venture, service or programme they personally organised and launched
-
Selection may include a structured interview and a practical launch-planning exercise
-
Appointment is subject to satisfactory identity, DBS and right-to-work checks, references, and any additional screening appropriate to the final duties and access involved
-
Impact Investment Group is committed to fair recruitment and an inclusive working environment. Applications are welcomed from suitably qualified candidates from all backgrounds, and reasonable adjustments will be considered throughout the recruitment process
