Job Summary
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Plant Fitter to join our growing Fleet Management company that is expanding due to continued success.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, inspection, and repair of a range of plant machinery, ensuring equipment is kept safe, reliable, and operational.
This role will be mobile for the most part, with workshop hours when required.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting regular maintenance and repair work on plant machinery and equipment
- Repair mechanical and electrical defects on all vehicles and related
- Attend breakdowns and carry out repairs efficiently
- Ordering and replacing faulty plant components and parts
- Look after all workshop tools and equipment ensuring they are all in serviceable condition and secured at the end of the day
- Maintain accurate service records and paperwork
Requirements:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and technical knowledge of plant machinery
- Experience in diagnosing and repairing faults on a range of machinery
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Ability to adhere to health and safety guidelines
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends if required
- Full driving license
- Current CSCS card preferred
- HGV desirable
