Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable General Labourer Builder to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a variety of building tasks, ensuring high standards of workmanship and safety. Responsibilities
- Carry out carpentry, roofing, masonry, and general building tasks with precision and attention to detail
- Perform construction painting and decorating as required on various sites
- Install plumbing systems and electrical components in accordance with safety standards and regulations
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete assigned tasks
- Fabricate and modify building components as necessary to meet project specifications
- Assist with site preparation, material handling, and clean-up to ensure a safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines and quality standards
- Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols at all times during work activities
Qualifications
- Proven experience in carpentry, roofing, masonry, or general building work is essential
- Knowledge of construction painting, plumbing, welding, electrical systems, and fabrication is highly desirable
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications accurately
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in construction trades are advantageous but not mandatory
